A Christmas Carol Live!
For some families, watching A Christmas Carol every year is a tradition. If this sounds like your family (or you’re looking to start a new tradition!) you have to check out this fun show at The Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts. This rendition has all the color and music of the classic story you already know and love and is perfect for all ages. The event is one night only, Thursday, Dec. 21 at 7:30 pm, so get your tickets today!
A Charlie Brown Christmas Live!
Watch as Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts crew uncover the true meaning of Christmas in this live-action musical based on the tv special that’s a staple for the season. But hey, this event isn’t just for the kiddos! Check it out on Dec. 22 at The Florida Theatre.
The Miracle on Main Street Pub Crawl
This event is free for all (21+ of course), so come out and celebrate the season with a Christmas-themed pub crawl. You’ll hit five restaurants and pubs in Historic Springfield, so come ready for a great night. Get your drink on early, Saturday, Dec. 23rd, starting at 3 pm.
Christmas Eve Jax
If you’re looking for snow this year, look no further than Landon Middle School. On Sunday, Dec. 24th over 2,000 snowballs will be dropped by helicopter, creating a white Christmas here in Jacksonville. This is an event you and the family won’t want to miss! Be there at 10:30 am so you don’t miss out on the snowball fights, photo booths, hot cocoa and Christmas caroling.
Jacksonville Light Boat Parade
This Jax tradition absolutely can’t be missed. The Boat Parade starts at 7:30, and boats of all sizes will sparkle and shine, bringing holiday cheer to Downtown Jax. Get a great spot on the St. Johns River, as the night will be topped off with a fireworks display at 9:30. This is one of the most magical nights of the holiday season and is a great way to experience the beauty of our city.
Jax New Year’s Eve Celebration
Say Goodbye to 2017 in style at the Jacksonville Landing. Starting at 4 pm, expect live music, great food, drink specials and fireworks from the City of Jacksonville. This is a sparkling way to welcome the New Year with friends and family, so get there early.
